Our WW1 Battlefield tours give students a deeper understanding of the events that took place during the war and provide them the opportunity to appreciate the scale of sacrifice that was made. This one day trip to the Somme follows the events of the Battle of the Somme, where the greatest loss of human life in modern British warfare occurred in one day.
Go on a guided tour that will take you to some of the sites where the battle took place and give you the chance to visit memorials that commemorate the lives of those who fought and died.
You could also extend this tour by combining it with visits in the Belgian town of Ypres. Have a look at our other Ypres Battlefields itineraries for some inspiration!
