Overview

Orlando is packed full of engaging science-based visits for school groups!  Our longer tours include at least one day at the inspiring Kennedy Space Center, a couple of days at Disney, and plenty of time for other activities.

Get close to nature with an airboat ride at Boggy Creek, explore the interactive exhibitions at the Orlando Science Center and maybe even do an indoor skydive.  There’s plenty of time for souvenir shopping too!

Our Suggested Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Flight to Orlando and transfer to your accommodation.

    Relax after your flight with some leisure time at Disney Springs - Disney's entertainment district where you will find plenty of attractions and shops!

  2. Day 2

    Visit the Kennedy Space Centre.  The admission includes the Space Shuttle Atlantis and Shuttle Launch Experience, IMAX 3D Space Films, Great Balls of Fire Exhibit, Angry Birds Space Encounter and viewing of the Rocket Garden.

    Optional extra – Guided Explore Tour at the KSC.

    Visit the Astronaut Hall of Fame.

  3. Day 3

    Take part in an educational YES Programme at Disney.

    Explore the attractions of Future World at Disney’s Epcot to develop an understanding of how human needs and wants drive the development and acceleration of technology.

  4. Day 4

    Spend a second day at a Disney park of your choice – choose from Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios.  Let us know if you’d like our advice on which park would be best for your group!

    If you choose to go to Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios, you’ll be able to stay for the evening show or spectacular!

  5. Day 5

    Explore the wilderness and nature of Central Florida, with a fun-filled guided airboat ride – this is sure to be a highlight of the trip!

    In the afternoon, head to the Florida Mall for some retail therapy and souvenir shopping.

    Take part in an indoor skydiving session at iFly Orlando!  IFly educators will introduce STEM concepts related to the wind tunnel during an interactive presentation, followed by a lab activity.

  6. Day 6

    Spend the day at Universal Orlando!  Let us know if you have a preference between Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, or if you’d like a hopper ticket so that you can ride the Hogwarts Express between the two!

    Once you’ve had your fill of the rides, enjoy some leisure time in Universal City Walk.

  7. Day 7

    After a relaxing morning at the hotel pool, head to the Orlando Science Center – a hands-on science museum filled with exciting exhibits.

    Transfer to Orlando airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.

  8. Day 8

    Flight arrival back in the UK.

There is a good choice of accommodation in the States suitable for school groups.  Our schools normally stay at either the StaySky Suites I-Drive or the Hawthorn Suites Lake Buena Vista, we always quote on a no bed-sharing basis.  Let us know if you have any particular favourites, otherwise we'll recommend the best option for you and your budget.
