Overview

Vietnam has a rich and troubled past.  Long before the American War in Vietnam, the country battled with the Chinese, the Khmers, the Chams and the Mongols, and also suffered several years of French colonisation.

The past has left its mark on Vietnam, and your students will have plenty of opportunities to consolidate their understanding of historical events here, with visits to some fantastic museums and the impressive Cu Chi Tunnels.

Moreover, you’ll also learn about the resilience of the Vietnamese nation and discover how the country went on to become one of South East Asia’s most peaceful countries.
