About Alabama

Alabama was the epicentre of the decades-long struggle for equal rights in the US that culminated in the 50s and 60s.  Many small acts of nonviolence that began here became catalysts for greater change that ultimately led to the end of legalised segregation and discrimination in the US.

Visits to Montgomery, Birmingham and Selma will provide students with a comprehensive walkthrough of the state’s harrowing history and allow students to get up close and personal with some of its most famous names, including Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr.

Not to mention, Alabama’s music, food, and culture offer a fantastic all-American experience and memories that your students will treasure.
