With a spectacular skyline, plenty of museums dedicated to art and a whole host of impressive buildings and sculptures, the city of Chicago is the perfect setting for an art and architecture tour!

Observation decks, walking tours and boat cruises are just some of the visits which make an educational trip to Chicago such an unforgettable experience. 

Our Suggested Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Flight from the UK to Chicago airport and transfer to your accommodation.

    Observe the architecture of the John Hancock building and enjoy 360 degree views over Chicago’s skyline and Lake Michigan from the observation deck at 360 Chicago.

  2. Day 2

    Take in some of Chicago’s most impressive buildings with an architectural boat cruise along the river.

    Enjoy some free time at Navy Pier.

    Observe the architecture of Chicago’s downtown Theatre District with a self-guided walking tour.  There is also an option to have a guided tour if you prefer. 

  3. Day 3

    Visit to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Studio at Oak Park and learn about the development of the ‘Prairie’ style architecture in the USA.

    Self-guided tour of Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies Van der Rohe’s architectural highlights.  We can also include a guided tour on request.

    Observe the Chicago skyline from a new perspective and enjoy some free time at the Chicago Riverwalk.

  4. Day 4

    Enjoy a guided tour of one of the largest art museums in the USA, The Art Institute of Chicago.

    Self-guided walking route around Millenium Park, home to some of Chicago’s most impressive and well-known sculptures including ‘The Bean’.

    Visit to one of Chicago’s most famous landmarks, the Buckingham Fountain.

    Experience spectacular views spanning up to four states from the Skydeck observation floor in the 108-storey Willis Tower.

  5. Day 5

    Visit the Shedd Aquarium - the world’s largest indoor aquarium, home to over 8,000 aquatic animals.

    Observe thousands of fascinating art pieces with a guided tour of the Museum of Contemporary Art.

    Free time for shopping in Water Tower Place.

  6. Day 6

    Spend the morning exploring Chicago’s grand boulevard, Magnificent Mile, filled with shops and restaurants.

    Transfer to Chicago airport for your return flight home.
