Our Suggested Itinerary

  1. Day 1

Morning flight to Vienna, then spend the afternoon taking in Vienna's main attractions with a guided walking tour of the city.

  2. Day 2

In the morning, visit the Museum of Fine Arts which ranks among the richest and most important art collections in the world.  It houses paintings by Rubens, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Dürer, Raphael, Titian and Velazquez, as well as the most comprehensive collection of Bruegel's paintings in the world.

After lunch, discover the Belvedere Palaces - two magnificent palaces in the middle of a splendid park.  The museum hosts a collection of Austrian art from the 18th to 20th century including Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and Oscar Kokoschka.

Optional evening activity: enjoy a performance at the Vienna State Opera – an unforgettable experience!

  3. Day 3

Start your day visiting the Albertina Graphic Arts Collection, perhaps the largest and most important graphic collection in the world.  It owns about 60,000 drawings and around a million graphic reproductions, including Albrecht Dürer's famous "Rabbit".

Later on the day, wander around the Museumsquartier, one of the ten largest cultural complexes in the world, where baroque buildings, new architecture, cultural institutions and various disciplines of art are united.  The Leopold Museum and the MUMOK (Museum of Modern Art Ludwig Foundation Vienna) are just two of the art museums here.

    OR

Visit the stunning Schönbrunn Palace, with its lovely gardens and fountains – no trip to Vienna would be complete without seeing the summer residence of the Habsburgs.

  4. Day 4

Before coming back home, visit the Secession - even by today's standards the Secession is a daring building with its cupola of golden laurel leaves and its art deco facade.  It is one of the key works of Viennese Art Nouveaux architecture and specialises in contemporary art.

    Afternoon flight back home.
