Overview

As the motor city of Germany, Stuttgart is an excellent destination for science and engineering trips!

This modern city has a whole host of scientific and technological visits to explore, including the Mercedes-Benz Museum, Carl Zeiss Planetarium and the Porsche Factory.  Students will also have the chance to visit the Daimler Memorial - the workshop where Gottlieb Daimler patented the internal combustion engine in 1883. 

Our science and engineering tours to Stuttgart offer a diverse range of topics to explore, as well as the chance to learn a little about the history and culture of the city.

Our Suggested Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Flight from UK to Stuttgart and transfer to your accommodation.

    Evening at leisure.

  2. Day 2

    Get your bearings in the city with a guided tour of Stuttgart’s Old Town, filled with elegant gardens, grand palaces and spectacular fountains.

    Enjoy some free time in Schlossplatz Square.

    Discover the origins of the universe with an afternoon visit to the Carl Zeiss Planetarium.

    In the evening, head to the TV Tower for some great views over the city. Learn how the world’s first TV Tower was constructed.

  3. Day 3

    Trace the history of the Mercedes-Benz motorcar with a visit to the Mercedes-Benz Museum.

    Visit the Daimler Memorial, the workshop where the automotive pioneer, Gottlieb Daimler, perfected his internal combustion engine.

    Spend the afternoon at the Wilhelma Zoo and Botanical Gardens, home to over nine thousand animals!

  4. Day 4

    Find out what goes on behind the scenes at the Porsche Factory with a guided tour.

    Visit Schloss Solitude, a beautiful Rococo palace nestled in the hills above modern Stuttgart.

    Enjoy some free time in Solitude-Allee, a tree-lined avenue with spectacular views of the city and surrounding vineyards.

    Transfer to the airport for return flight home.
