Overview

Germany’s second city is a fantastic destination for school trips.

Its walkable centre retains a small-town air but holds some world-class sights, especially its art galleries and museums.  Our schools visit an excellent language school here which provides MFL students with an authentic educational experience and ample opportunity to practise German in a native setting.

Our Suggested Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Morning flight to Munich.

Enjoy a free evening in Marienplatz - Munich's central square still stands as the centre of social activity in the city, much as it has throughout history!

  2. Day 2

Morning language lessons at the DID Deutsch Institut – you’ll be taught in small, private groups by a native speaker, who can focus on any topic of your choice.

"Munich Highlights" walking tour.  Your students will learn the fascinating history behind some of the city's many historical attractions, including Mary's Column, the Frauenkirche, and some of the important locations of Hitler’s Beer Hall Putsch.

Relax in the Englischer Garten - this popular scenic park contains a Greek temple, Chinese pagoda and Japanese tea house!

  3. Day 3

    Morning at Language School.

Explore the Viktualienmarkt - one of Munich's most popular markets for fresh food and delicatessen.  It offers exotic ingredients that are not available anywhere else in the area!

Visit Deutsches Museum, the world's largest museum of Science and Technology.

  4. Day 4

In the morning, complete your course at the language school and receive your certificates.

Guided tour of the Allianz Arena, home to the region's most beloved football team, FC Bayern München!

    Return flight home.

  5. Optional Extra Day

Extend the length of your trip by a day to allow enough time to travel outside the hustle and bustle of the city to visit Schloss Neuschwanstein – one of the spectacular castles of the “mad” King Ludwig II of Bavaria.
