Overview

Brussels is a city with the key role in European politics and business, it's home to the headquarters of the European Union and the European Commission.  A Business Studies tour of Brussels will help pupils gain a greater understanding of global politics and business.  Key visits include a guided tour of the Coca Cola European Operations, European Parliament and Audi factory.

Our Suggested Itinerary

This itinerary is based on travelling by coach, but let us know if you would prefer to travel by air.

  1. Day 1

    Coach travel from the UK to Brussels

    Explore the Grand Place, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe!  Stroll around the surrounding old cobbled streets, and admire the nearby Manneken Pis.

  2. Day 2

    No visit to Belgium would be complete without tasting its chocolate!  Learn about its production, and (of course!) sample the final product with this excellent guided tour of Choco-Story.

    Continue your day with a guided tour of the Audi Factory.  The factory focuses on VW Golf and Audi A4 production and employs over 6,000 people.

    In the afternoon, tour the Brussels International Airport accompanied by a professional guide, and learn about some the lesser-known aspects of aviation.

    Round up this busy day with some leisure time on the Mont des Arts, Brussels’ artistic hill which offers a fantastic panorama over the city centre!

  3. Day 3

    Start your day with a tour of the Auction of BelOrta, Europe’s largest co-operative auction association.  Learn how the auction system works while following the route that the vegetables travel from the market gardener to your local supermarket.

    After lunch, observe the workings of the EU in the excellent interactive exhibition of the Parlamentarium, and discover the impact of the European Institutions on the everyday life.

    Then take a guided tour of the Coca-Cola European Visitor Centre to learn about the foundations of the world-famous drink, from the choice of products offered and the people that work there, to the responsibilities and issues that the company must consider (includes a sneak peek in the production line!).

  4. Day 4

    Last stop of your trip: the National Bank of Belgium.  Find out all about the role and significance of money in the economy, the tasks and activities of the National Bank within the European framework, and money as a cultural phenomenon.

    Discover the vibrant history of the historical industrial Antwerp harbour, one of the largest industrial areas in the Benelux, with a specialist guide!
