Overview

We offer fascinating visits to Belfast, discovering the story of the Troubles and, most poignantly, the people involved.  You will discover the reasons behind the start of the conflict, and the journey to the active, vibrant city you see today.

Engaging, enthralling and hard-hitting, our tours are guided by conflict historians who are Belfast natives.  The tours are unbiased, educational and factual.

In addition, a tour of the Stormont Parliament Buildings is a fascinating visit for budding politicians.  Your group can also take part in a free educational workshop or an activity session such as a mock election.

We can help you to enrich your itinerary by including leisure visits to the new Titanic Quarter, telling the story of the Titanic from birth to its tragic maiden voyage, and the Giant's Causeway.

Our Suggested Itinerary

This itinerary is based on travel by plane, but please let us know if you would like to travel by ferry.

  1. Day 1

    Morning flight to Belfast.

Get an insight into the work of the devolved Northern Irish Parliament with a tour of Stormont.  After your visit to the building, take a stroll in the majestic gardens of the Stormont Estate.

The Northern Irish Assembly also offers free educational workshops, perfect for students studying devolution.  Contact us for more details if you would like us to organise one for you.

Guided walking tour of Belfast’s most famous areas: the Shankill Road and the Falls Road.  Includes an introductory talk about the historical context of the Troubles and a visit to the Peace murals, a fascinating illustration of Belfast’s tumultuous past.

    Evening in Belfast’s riverside district.

  2. Day 2

Guided whole-day visit to Derry-Londonderry, one of the frontlines of the Troubles.  Derry is divided physically by the River Foyle and culturally by hundreds of years of conflict by two opposing religions.  Experience this divide by touring the wall mural sites in the city side and the Waterside.

Optional stop at the Giant’s Causeway on the way back (depending on flight times).

    Flight back home.
