Amsterdam is an incredibly engaging destination for Holocaust studies, offering a fascinating insight into Jewish life in occupied Europe.

Our selection of visits focus on the persecution of the Jews and bring to life some incredible stories of resistance.

Anne Frank is one of Amsterdam's most well-known residents. Your students can take part in an educational workshop at The Anne Frank House and will learn about Anne Frank, the Second World War and the persecution of the Jews.

Kamp Vught was the only concentration camp controlled by the SS outside Germany in Western Europe. Today, Kamp Vught stands as a national monument listing the names of the people who died there.

Our Suggested Itinerary

Day 1

Morning flight to Amsterdam and transfer to your accommodation.

Take in the city's main sights with a guided canal cruise.
Day 2

Spend the morning visiting the Anne Frank House, the museum acts as an exhibition space to highlight all forms of persecution and discrimination. Before a guided tour of the house, students will get to take part in an educational workshop specifically tailored to their age and requirements.

In the afternoon, take a guided tour of Camp Vught (Herzogenbusch concentration camp), the only official SS concentration camp in occupied North-West Europe.

In the evening, spend some free time in Jordaan, a neighbourhood dotted with independent art galleries and antiques shops.
Day 3

Discover Amsterdam’s tumultuous history during the Second World War with a guided walking tour. See the Jewish Quarter, the Portuguese Synagogue, the Jewish Historical Museum and more.

Afternoon/evening flight back to the UK.
